I’m not referring to taking some kind of inventory of your possessions. Though, maybe you should. In case there is a fire or other natural disaster, for insurance purposes. Or, if you have a list of everything you own out in front of you, maybe it will be easier to cross out what you no longer need, what no longer serves you and makes you better.
But, again, I was not originally referring to inventory of your things.
Drop everything you are doing. Sit in silence. Think of everyTHING and everyONE that makes you happy. Think long and hard.
Now, if you so choose, write those down. And imagine your life without them. One. At. A. Time.
This isn’t meant to make you sad. Though, it may draw a tear or two. It is meant to remind you to be grateful for all that you love and that makes you happy. To appreciate.
Because often – too often – you really don’t know what you have until it is gone.
