Happy Tweets MONDAY!

Happy Monday, Happy People!

Let me tell you: The last couple of weeks have been eye-opening ones for yours truly! I have been plannin’, schemin’, and – most importantly – BELIEVING IN MYSELF. I have decided that 2015 is going to be the year of THE LAUNCH! What am I launching, you ask? I will be launching a new site + design for roamin4happiness, a new film project, + MYSELF into the world! It’s time for me to take the reigns of my own life and LIVE!

With that in mind, we are back with our happy tweets! I hope that they inspire you to think a bit about the coming year and what you are going to do to make it the HAPPIEST year yet!

If you have any ideas you want to bounce off someone, please feel free to interact with me in the comments! I am ready to inspire + be inspired!

Enjoy!

2 Actions to GET INSPIRED!

Good Day, Happy People!

I’ll admit it: I have been a little less-than-inspired recently! I subscribe to blogs, “Like” Facebook pages, and follow people and businesses on Twitter for daily doses of inspiration and motivation. But sometimes, it affects me for 2 minutes and then I go about my day, mundanely. And I hate it.

Sometimes, we all need a little kick in the pants, and for me, I continuously kicked myself for almost a week, and now I feel all charged up like the Energizer Bunny!

What did it for you? How can I do the same? Time to get back on the wagon!

Here are the 2 simple actions I took/am taking to propel myself forward, inspired:

1. I purchased something for myself. A few things, actually. When was the last time you purchased something for yourself without necessity? Purchased a dress you didn’t need for an upcoming work event, or that T.V. and XBOX 1 you needed to continue to interact with your gamer friends and stay up-to-par with the status quo?

Not only did I purchase a few things for myself, but they were on sale (YEEEE!), and they display words to motivate and inspire me:
bracelet icing3 PhoneCase
 * “STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES” bangle purchased ON SALE from: KateSpade.com
* “Quit Slackin’ + Make It Happen” wallet, and “Start the day with a smile and end it with champagne” phone case purchased ON SALE from: The Icing

If you have a difficult time “selfishly” purchasing items for yourself, then do what I (wish I could) do, and give away one item in your home for each item you purchase. Guilt-away! Now, every time I look down, I have a reminder to be positive, and not just dream, but GO FOR MY DREAMS! Everyone deserves a little sumpin-sumpin to do that for them!

2. Write a MANIFESTO. This week, I am participating in a FREE course with Melissa Cassera (MelissaCassera.com) entitled OBSESSED. Monday’s prompt was to write a Lifestyle Manifesto. According to Melissa’s worksheet: a Manifesto “provides a ‘check-in’ system to ensure that you’re practicing what you preach + presenting an accurate depiction of your lifestyle.” I have read so many times over that writing a Manifesto could be that one thing to spark everything else positively in my life…and for some reason I just never jumped on it. The prompt inspired me, but blocked me at the same time. Good thing Melissa included a fill in the blank form for me to start with! I will past the first draft of my manifesto below. But, just like life, it is a work-in-progress. Let me know what you think!

RoaminTwin’s Lifestyle Manifesto: Draft 1

When I wake up in the morning, the first thought on my mind is: Will going to the gym bring me more joy or pain, today?
And after that: Time for a big stretch and a spot of tea!
My heart glows when I am laughing with my best mates, and my heart breaks when I have no power to better a tough situation for a friend or family member
My community is my inspiration. More than anything else, I care about helping them to realize the joy they bring others
In my world, fantastic, flirty underwear is an absolute necessity
Jumping in puddles and wine nights are always a good idea.
Champagne and celebration are acceptable EVERY day
Pants are overrated, and being anything but authentic is a definite NO.
Fantasizing about that ice cream treat after a zumbathon is totally reasonable.
Striving to roam every corner of the earth is a must.
But, at the end of the day, living an abundantly joy-filled journey is all that matters.
When I die, I want to be remembered as the person who found herself on an adventure in happiness with…herself
And who inspired others to find joy and fulfillment in themselves, too.

Call-To-Action: Now that I have shared my Manifesto, I want YOU to create one to share with the community! This is a forum to share and promote happiness, so no holding back!

Happy Tweets Monday!

Good Afternoon, and welcome back to Happy Tweets Monday, Happy People!

I am back in business after my honeymoon hiatus, and couldn’t be happier to spread some long-awaited love and momentum to everyone (including myself). Because, let’s face it: Mondays are hard to get through. Especially after a 2 week trip to Europe and beyond – but that’s for another post!

Enjoy!

The following tweet should look familiar to you. I posted it in the last Happy Tweets Monday post 2 weeks ago. But, I could post it every day for the rest of my life. Good reminder!

Because in the end you won’t remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing your lawn. Climb that goddamn mountain.

Happy Tweets Tuesday

Happy Tweets Tuesday has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?

It is always what happens when time gets away from me on Mondays, or motivation is lacking. The good thing is, it is less and less the latter these days, as inspiration to move forward towards my dreams is at an all time high. I mean, what can be more empowering than planning and physically setting out one of the biggest changes/steps/dreams of your life? For me, at the moment, it is the wedding to my Prince Charming, my Timmykins. But it’s also dreaming of our life. Setting the foundation of financial stability as well as planning the tiny steps to reach our dreams of travel, family, and potential business ownership: together.

What do Happy Tweets motivate YOU toward? What are your goals for this upcoming week? Small steps add up to big strides! Enjoy!

Happy Tweets Monday!

Hello, Hello, Happy People!

I hope you had a fruitful weekend! Albeit fruitful in work, play, or sleep! Did you do what was healthy and invigorating for you?

Mine was a weekend filled with marriage prep classes, my brother’s high school basketball game, a family dinner, knitting, eating healthy, and working out! I didn’t skip a day AT ALL last week in the beginning of my new work out program (woo hoo!!!), and I am so energized to continue on! Even on the “rest” days I am getting my cardio in through zumba and yoga or heading to the gym to choose from their selection of cardio machines! Due to all of this hard work, my sore muscles serve as an AWESOME reminder that putting sugar, sugar, sugar into my body (I have a massive sweet tooth) will just undo all of the pain and work I put in at the gym. I did bend and share half of a bagel with Timmykins at marriage prep class, but it was just the bit of “bad” I needed to continue on. It’s OK to indulge every once in awhile, but while I am trying to break this habit of eating sweet all of the time (and lose weight while I’m at it), I just need to stay away as much as possible! Lunch today? 4oz of grilled chicken, cucumbers, carrots, and the TINIEST bit of cottage cheese!

Writing this out – just laying it out in front of me – is really helping me hold myself accountable, and I LOVE IT! 1 week down in this program, 11 weeks left, and the rest of my life left to live healthily!

Now, onto what you’ve all been waiting for: HAPPY TWEETS MONDAY!

Are you as motivated as I? If not, read some of these and get your head in the game for this week! Enjoy!

Happy Tweets Tuesday!

The more I think about it, the more I think that, as hard as I try, I may just need to deem one day a week – any day – as Happy Tweets Day. Life is way too unpredictable, and sometimes something is weighing on my mind that I just need to write about (like yesterday’s post).

So, even though it is Tuesday, today will be Happy Tweets Day for this week! Take it or leave it, we all need little spurts of happiness and motivation every once in awhile 🙂

Enjoy!

Home Stretch…

Are you in need of a little motivation to make it through the next day and a half? We are in the home stretch…almost to that 4-day weekend (for some), but Thanksgiving for all! Take heed! Here are some motivation quotes and tweets to give you that surge of energy to get all of the “haftas” done and reach the finish line to food, family, and relaxation (can be combined with coffee and/or a piece of dark chocolate).

Enjoy! And get s*** done!

Happiness Instructional: A Video

You read it right, folks! What I have for you here today is a short video that will INCREASE your happiness level!

WHAT?!

You know I harp on the fact that happiness is a choice, and this backs me up! So, of course I am going to share it with you! This happened into my life on a day where I wasn’t going to blog (gasp!). I know that has been happening a lot lately, and I apologize. It is not for lack of material, I promise you that, but lack of time. And yes, that is a terrible excuse, but the next few weeks I may be a little distant. Just be patient, choose happiness, and WATCH THIS VIDEO:

Blog Challenge: Day 7!

And on the seventh day, He rested…

Not THIS lady! For the first time EVER I am finishing out a full week of blog posts. Don’t know why? Check out my first post of this series HERE!

And on top of that, I am putting some of the actions from my perfect day post into action. This morning I woke up to get my brother donuts for his first day of school. In doing so, I abstained from eating one and instead had my pea protein shake. While driving to the donut shop, I watched the sunrise (which is a first in a VERY long time for me). Then I completed 40 minutes of yoga followed by a nice, relaxing shower before getting to work early! After work I have my first wedding dress shopping experience (EEK!), followed by the gym with Timmykins. We are going to try out a new routine, so I will let you know how that goes!

So, I am heading in the right direction with my healthier, happier lifestyle, and I am diggin’ it!

If you are enjoying the Blog Challenge material, stop by my twin sister’s BLOG! We are answering the same questions separately to see how similar our answers are! Do YOURS match any of ours?

Today’s Blog Challenge Prompt: Which key tools will you turn to regularly to maintain your mindset and how will you use them effectively?

A: I will list them below. In no particular order.

1. My blog. Past posts, posts I plan on writing, just the sheer idea of ‘challenge’ that has inserted itself into every post as of late. Just as it has been a constant reminder of what makes me happy, and that happiness is a choice, so too will it remind me that I am challenging myself to live my dreams and plan out the life I not only am meant to live, but would LOVE to live.

2. Regular exercise. I want to challenge myself to try new things, harder things. Not only will this be a challenge, but a routine that reminds me that I should constantly be changing and improving myself. When I get on a roll, I really get going. It is when I take a day or two off that I lose motivation and my eating habits turn sour (well, actually sweet. Very VERY sweet).

3. The blog posts and tweets of my happiness community, photographers, film professionals, and other leaders in the motivational circle I have created for myself. Some of my top picks are listed below (check them out!):

jasminestarblog.com
katemarolt.com

@FitBottomedGirl
@GlbetrotterGrls

Thank you so much for returning again and again to hold me accountable for all of these crazy challenges as well as life in general! I hope I can be a resource of motivation, optimism, and opportunity for you as well! Have a Happy, Happy Day, Happy People!

Very Inspiring Blogger

Imagine my surprise when I received this comment the other day from a reader:

I love your blog and have nominated you for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award!

Whhaaaaaat?!

Thank you so much to Liv at http://morningcoffeebliss.wordpress.com for the nom! It means so much coming from a fellow inspiring blogger. You can check out one of my favorites from her (where she finds herself finding herself while in an uncomfortable situation) HERE!

Image

Now, to fulfill the requirements that have been bequeathed unto me with this SPLENDID nomination:

1. Link back to your nominator: DONE. And I totally was going to do this anyways because I am so grateful for the nomination and what she writes every day!

2. Post the award image to your page: Alrightttttt, if I HAFTA (see above).

3. Share 7 facts about yourself: How about 7 things that I am grateful for?

  • My overall positive outlook on life
  • My loving family
  • My dreams that continue from sleep and get me through the day
  • Timmykins and the adventures that await us
  • My drive to continually evolve, and realize that EVERY day is the best day of my life 🙂
  • Every experience – good and bad – that has gotten me to where I am today. They were all teaching experiences
  • This outlet to remind myself of the happiness that is within, and that there is always reason to bring it out!

4. Nominate 15 other blogs and inform each blogger: Guys, these are ALL worth looking into. Each perspective is different, and each moment spent reading is a moment well spent. Enjoy!

This self-motivational journey of blogging has been a wonderful one so far. It reminds me to find happiness in my everyday life, as well as drives me to be more than I am. I hope that others use this outlet for the same purpose, and join me in CHOOSING happiness. Because, it IS a choice.

Happy Wednesday, Happy People!
