a Blog Challenge Day 1: My Daily Success Plan + Happy Tweets Tuesday!

Good Morning, lovely, lovely, HAPPY People!

Coming out of a weekend of moving with a MASSIVE head cold, Monday acted as my weekend, even though I had a full day of work! I slept in, didn’t go to the gym (shame on me), made breakfast for my husband and I, went to work, and came home to watch a movie with my sister before heading to my friends’ house for a couple of hours. Very relaxed, VERY zen.

Well, now it’s time for me to rally the troops (troops meaning myself), and DO something!

I am in the middle of a lot of transition right now. As I mentioned previously, Timmykins and I moved this weekend (more on that later), I am still mentally transitioning into this new year and everything it means for me personally, and amongst all of this, I am transitioning into routine, and living towards my core desired feelings.

With this whole routine she-bang, I have decided to participate in another blog challenge with the lovely Natalie Sisson of http://suitcaseentrepreneur.com/. The last time I partook in her blog challenge, it made me open up and explore ideas that I never had before. This time, I am starting a little late, but at least I am showing up to participate (and whole-heartedly, at that)! Day #1 prompt? Share my daily success plan.

Current (most days):
Wake up early (6ish). Drink warm lemon water. GYM TIME! Healthy breakfast. Long shower. -WORK- Zumba, sometimes yoga. Healthy dinner. Work from home. Bed.

Going forward (nearly every day):
Wake up around 6. Drink warm lemon water. Gym time (with GUSTO) OR Yoga (with GUSTO). Make a healthy breakfast. Quick shower. Blog/check emails/schedule Roamin4Happiness posts. Work – build in deep breathing and movement breaks. Zumba and or yoga and or a long walk after work. Cook a healthy meal, and it with Timmykins. Reflect on the day. Go to sleep earlier!

I know that it is the lack of routine and self-accountability that is eating away at my days. I know I am my own worst enemy, and it’s time for me to stop me in my tracks by encouraging my own wellness and transformation. It is only then that my energy, creativity, happiness, and BLOG/lifestyle brand will THRIVE!

Oh, you know what else will thrive with routine? Happy Tweets Mondays. Or Tuesday (for an exception like today). And, I promise that if you get into the routine of reading them (like I do every week as I post them), they will put a little pep in your step!

So, now for today’s little pep. From me (and all those who tweet), to YOU!

Day 16: MY Employees?!?!

Happy Friday (FINALLY) once again, Happy People! I will get right to the core of today’s challenge prompt so you can get on with your WEEKEND!

If you want to check out my progress from day one, start HERE!

Enjoying the Blog Challenge material? Stop by my twin sister’s BLOG! We are answering the same questions separately to see how similar our answers are! Do YOURS match any of ours?

Day 16 Question: How will you build a team around your vision and work smart instead of hard?

A: Wow, we are just moving right along, aren’t we? In the last 2 weeks I have thought for the first time about innovative material to provide for you all as well as imaginative ways to provide that for you. I have thought about monetizing while bringing you quality products. And for the very first time, I could see myself working from ANYWHERE in the world!

And now a support team? Future employees? This is so overwhelming, but not out of reach!

I will build a team that is naturally happy. I would do Skype interviews, and possibly (ideally) travel to different places to interview top candidates. It would be wonderful to bring avid readers/subscribers on board! Heck, it would be nice if I could just seek people out and have a previous relationship with them through my site! Once I know that their heads are in the right place, I would love to have weekly Skype/phone meetings, and lead by example. I can’t expect happiness from my employees if I am not completely open, honest, and positive with them.

I am sure that it will be difficult to relinquish any duties, but I will make sure development meetings draw clear plans for the next few days, weeks, maybe even months. I can do it just like I can have electronic free weekends. It will feel so freeing.

Freedom. That is what I want. Happiness. How about YOU?

Blog Challenge: Day 4

Happy Sunday, Happy People!!!

Thank you so much for continuing to join me on not only my lifelong journey of happiness, but also this 30 day blog challenge! I hope you are enjoying the process-and maybe even answering the questions on your own-as much as I am!

I just want to take a moment to reflect on the last 24+hours and how happy they have made me. It started with J&T’s baby shower yesterday, followed by an interview (that I feel I ROCKED by the way :)), a baseball game with friends (and my first tailgate EVER…weeeeeeee!), and joyous news followed by excitement I just cannot contain! Today was my first venture into wedding dress shopping with a sample sale. Bad news: what was on sale doesn’t carry the ethereal whimsy I am looking for for my big day (sounds stupid, but I have this vision…). Good news: I made an appointment to go back with my mom and my MOH on Wednesday. Time to turn down the volume on the voice in my head that makes fun of me when I try on clothes so i can say YES to a dress!

I hope that your weekend has been just as splendid, and maybe you will share what has made you happy in the last 24-48 hours?

Back to business…

Today’s Question: What is your definition of location independence?

A: Location independence is the ability to travel the world, sometimes on a whim, or live where I want without being “tied down” while also making an ample living. I don’t want to be a world explorer living off of daddy’s money, nor do I feel like living poor is the way to go. While I am young it seems fine, but I need to save so I can live comfortably later in life. I want to be able to visit friends and family and come and go as I-and they- please. I want to be able to be in the lives of those I love when they need me and spend time with them while I still can. It means that where I work and play can be the same place and my location is flexible to where I want to be.

What is YOUR definition of location independence?

Blog Challenge: Day 3

HAPPY BABY SHOWER J&T! I just got back from a breakfast to celebrate one of my best friends and that is just one of the MANY things I am happy/grateful for today! What are YOU grateful for today?

Enough of my gushing, onto the important stuff 😛

Happy SATURDAY(???) Happy People!!!!

–I don’t usually post on the weekend, but I am DETERMINED to stick to this 30 Day Blog Challenge–

If you are unsure as to what the hee haw this blog post is all about, check out my Day 1 post HERE!

Question: What’s your definition of freedom in business and adventure in life?

A: When I grow up, I want to be a filmmaker, making films that mean something while traveling the world and spreading happiness (see: Day 2).

My freedom would be the ability to travel the world and not worry about being tied down to any one place forever. If I want to move or go on an adventure, I can pack up my belongings and go. I could be my own boss-and maybe the boss of others-and not worry about working a nine to five. When I am inspired to do something, I could go out and do it.

Of course, now I have Timmykins to consider. But he has similar feelings on freedom and travel and business goals. And I am sure he won’t mind if I tell him I am his boss 🙂

Oh, and my definition of adventure? Trying new things, going out on a limb on a whim, doing familiar things with new people, doing favorite activities, and of course-when funds and time allow it-traveling the world.

Starting with a possible family trip to Scotland in the summer and (crossing my fingers for) a honeymoon in Germany and the surrounding area.

What are freedom and adventure to you? We should all go on an adventure together!
