Happy Tweets Friday!

Hello, Happy People!

For a lot of you, this is the afternoon home-stretch of your week! Even if your work week was cut short by the holiday, exhaustion is setting in from the festivities, and instead of feeling the second day of work, it has quickly become evident that this is, indeed, FRIDAY.

So, I thought it would be appropriate to share happy tweets today! To get you through the remaining, grueling hours of your workday, and motivate you to get things DONE this weekend.

But, also to motivate me. There is a snow storm a-comin’, and I need that “OOMPH!” to not stay curled up in my warm bed all day tomorrow 🙂

Enjoy!

Happy Book

If you haven’t done this already, I advise you to take care of it NOW.

It is URGENT and good for your health.

1. Go to a website that prints books. Tiny books. Like, fit-in-your-pocket/purse sized (whatever that may be…maybe you have a big purse, or large pockets-idk). Walgreens, Shutterfly, etc.

2. Make a book. Fill it with your favorite pictures, quotes, song lyrics, and memories.

3. Print that book.

4. Place book in your purse (or pocket, or bedside table) and save it for a rainy day.

That is it! Now you have a Happy Book.

I made one about a year ago for someone that worries, stresses, and seems down quite a bit. I just want her to be happy. It is filled with things that will make her smile, laugh, and reminisce, if she so chooses to dig it out of her purse.

Yours will do the same for you.

But it won’t do anything if you don’t make it first.

PS–This is a great gift idea. And cheap but thoughtful. You really have to know the person to make them one.

So, what are you waiting for? Get to it already! Then, let me know some of the things you included in yours!

Happy Friday and Have a SPLENDID Weekend!

Fear of “Might”

In the wake of incoming news of explosions at The Boston Marathon, I want everyone to take a moment to think of what makes them happy.

I am happiest laughing. With my family and friends. Going on adventures. Knitting. Jumping in puddles. Doing things to make others smile.

What makes YOU happy?

For some people, it started as a dream to partake in The Boston Marathon. For others, it was to root those running and walking on from the sidelines.

And I am sure, even in the events of today, that most wouldn’t change a thing. Some have fallen, some will never run again, but they were happy. And they should be with such a large accomplishment.

I want to be just like every one of those marathon runners and supporters. I want to reach my large goals and stop dreaming: just do.

I want to remind everyone – including myself – to not live in fear of what might happen. But to do what makes you happy. To love life regardless of the “mights”.

Let’s get happy. Move forward. No fear.

Thinking of those who were affected today. Fulfilling dreams for those who can’t fulfill their own.
