a Blog Challenge Day 1: My Daily Success Plan + Happy Tweets Tuesday!

Good Morning, lovely, lovely, HAPPY People!

Coming out of a weekend of moving with a MASSIVE head cold, Monday acted as my weekend, even though I had a full day of work! I slept in, didn’t go to the gym (shame on me), made breakfast for my husband and I, went to work, and came home to watch a movie with my sister before heading to my friends’ house for a couple of hours. Very relaxed, VERY zen.

Well, now it’s time for me to rally the troops (troops meaning myself), and DO something!

I am in the middle of a lot of transition right now. As I mentioned previously, Timmykins and I moved this weekend (more on that later), I am still mentally transitioning into this new year and everything it means for me personally, and amongst all of this, I am transitioning into routine, and living towards my core desired feelings.

With this whole routine she-bang, I have decided to participate in another blog challenge with the lovely Natalie Sisson of http://suitcaseentrepreneur.com/. The last time I partook in her blog challenge, it made me open up and explore ideas that I never had before. This time, I am starting a little late, but at least I am showing up to participate (and whole-heartedly, at that)! Day #1 prompt? Share my daily success plan.

Current (most days):
Wake up early (6ish). Drink warm lemon water. GYM TIME! Healthy breakfast. Long shower. -WORK- Zumba, sometimes yoga. Healthy dinner. Work from home. Bed.

Going forward (nearly every day):
Wake up around 6. Drink warm lemon water. Gym time (with GUSTO) OR Yoga (with GUSTO). Make a healthy breakfast. Quick shower. Blog/check emails/schedule Roamin4Happiness posts. Work – build in deep breathing and movement breaks. Zumba and or yoga and or a long walk after work. Cook a healthy meal, and it with Timmykins. Reflect on the day. Go to sleep earlier!

I know that it is the lack of routine and self-accountability that is eating away at my days. I know I am my own worst enemy, and it’s time for me to stop me in my tracks by encouraging my own wellness and transformation. It is only then that my energy, creativity, happiness, and BLOG/lifestyle brand will THRIVE!

Oh, you know what else will thrive with routine? Happy Tweets Mondays. Or Tuesday (for an exception like today). And, I promise that if you get into the routine of reading them (like I do every week as I post them), they will put a little pep in your step!

So, now for today’s little pep. From me (and all those who tweet), to YOU!

Enjoy!

Happy Tweets TUESDAY (evening)!

Oh goodness, I promise I won’t continue in this pattern of Happy Tweets getting later in the week! I know that it is a necessity for some of us to start our week with them (well, at least ME)!

We had a huge storm and power outage last night that threw off my blogging groove, so please be patient with me, and ENJOY!

Snoop

OK, to be honest, I didn’t know how else to title this post. Maybe I should have just named it Kali after that which it is named.

Happiness is a warm gun. Or, to me, a warm ball of fur by the name of Kali. This pup is 10 years old, and doesn’t act a day older than 3. She is one of the most playful, smiley, and basically the cutest dog I have ever laid eyes on.

Speaking of eyes: do you see that? BOTH of her eyes are crystal blue. One with a little brown spot in it, which I have been told keeps her from being blind (as most pups with two crystal blue eyes are blind).

She has always been a yapper, and it doesn’t matter who you are, she will bark at you as you enter and exit the house. I promise this isn’t because she doesn’t recognize you; she just wants to play!

When I am sad, she knows. She is the very best cuddler and when I don’t want to smile, she smiles for me. Her love is unconditional, and she is the most loyal best friend anyone could ask for.

The only thing I don’t like is that she has a crush on Timmykins. Which is bad because she loves him more than she loves me. At the same time, her approval means the world to me 🙂

To brighten everyone’s day…KALI!

Happy Book

If you haven’t done this already, I advise you to take care of it NOW.

It is URGENT and good for your health.

1. Go to a website that prints books. Tiny books. Like, fit-in-your-pocket/purse sized (whatever that may be…maybe you have a big purse, or large pockets-idk). Walgreens, Shutterfly, etc.

2. Make a book. Fill it with your favorite pictures, quotes, song lyrics, and memories.

3. Print that book.

4. Place book in your purse (or pocket, or bedside table) and save it for a rainy day.

That is it! Now you have a Happy Book.

I made one about a year ago for someone that worries, stresses, and seems down quite a bit. I just want her to be happy. It is filled with things that will make her smile, laugh, and reminisce, if she so chooses to dig it out of her purse.

Yours will do the same for you.

But it won’t do anything if you don’t make it first.

PS–This is a great gift idea. And cheap but thoughtful. You really have to know the person to make them one.

So, what are you waiting for? Get to it already! Then, let me know some of the things you included in yours!

Happy Friday and Have a SPLENDID Weekend!

Fear of “Might”

In the wake of incoming news of explosions at The Boston Marathon, I want everyone to take a moment to think of what makes them happy.

I am happiest laughing. With my family and friends. Going on adventures. Knitting. Jumping in puddles. Doing things to make others smile.

What makes YOU happy?

For some people, it started as a dream to partake in The Boston Marathon. For others, it was to root those running and walking on from the sidelines.

And I am sure, even in the events of today, that most wouldn’t change a thing. Some have fallen, some will never run again, but they were happy. And they should be with such a large accomplishment.

I want to be just like every one of those marathon runners and supporters. I want to reach my large goals and stop dreaming: just do.

I want to remind everyone – including myself – to not live in fear of what might happen. But to do what makes you happy. To love life regardless of the “mights”.

Let’s get happy. Move forward. No fear.

Thinking of those who were affected today. Fulfilling dreams for those who can’t fulfill their own.
