Happy Tweets Tuesday

Happy Tweets Tuesday has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?

It is always what happens when time gets away from me on Mondays, or motivation is lacking. The good thing is, it is less and less the latter these days, as inspiration to move forward towards my dreams is at an all time high. I mean, what can be more empowering than planning and physically setting out one of the biggest changes/steps/dreams of your life? For me, at the moment, it is the wedding to my Prince Charming, my Timmykins. But it’s also dreaming of our life. Setting the foundation of financial stability as well as planning the tiny steps to reach our dreams of travel, family, and potential business ownership: together.

What do Happy Tweets motivate YOU toward? What are your goals for this upcoming week? Small steps add up to big strides! Enjoy!

Still Searching, Faith Restoring…

I have not abandoned you, dear readers.

Yesterday was an off day for me. I worked from home, which gave me some flexibility to have more of an active schedule (yoga, swimming, weight training), and still make it to watch Timmykins play hockey and work my full 8 hours.

But my mind was preoccupied. And it is something that I would like to ask for prayers/thoughts as you go about your week.

Please join me in praying for/thinking of my dear friends, Ryan and Malia, and their family as they search for their brother who went missing during a Monday evening run.

I would like to offer up a prayer for Chad, for his family, and for all of those lost and whom have lost loved ones. For those still waiting: may hope continue in the search and faith that they will come home to you.

I can’t go a minute without thinking of them, and praying for his safe return.

Times like these are desperately upsetting, and I feel helpless. But, at the same time, my faith in humanity continues to grow with the outpouring of support from every direction: our community of Liberty, Missouri, networks of runners, people of shared faith, high school friends and acquaintances…prayers from around the world: we are all human, and one community.

Bring Chad Home.

The Sweetest Thing

I know you all have dreams and wishes.

I know it. And I think that dreaming and wishing is inherent, no matter nature or nurture. It runs in human veins. It’s got to.

And I know a lot of you – including myself – have either put yours on hold, or put the kibosh on them all together (thanks, dad, for that vocabulary word).

Well, it’s time for all of us to put the kibosh on our kiboshing.

My grandma was planning on renewing her vows with my grandpa this summer, around July 4th (his birthday). He has been sick, and as his health has declined, she came to the “sensible” conclusion that if it didn’t happen, then, basically, Oh Well. Last weekend she mentioned this wish to her sister while she was in town, and they went ahead and partook in a vow renewal.

Grandpa passed away this morning. And they renewed their vows on one of the last days that he recognized her. This, to me, is the sweetest thing.

And it is giving me a swift kick in the behind to work on my dreams and wishes.

Won’t you join me?

I am still wearing my Monsters Inc. pin for you, grandpa. I hope it is peaceful and beautiful. I love you.
